Job Description:

As a Paralegal at Rekor, you will provide essential legal support to the Vice President of Risk Management by managing contracts, conducting legal research, assisting with intellectual property matters, ensuring compliance in a dynamic technology-focused environment.

The Contribution:

• Contract Management
  1. Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including software licensing agreements, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract terms align with company policies and objectives.
  3. Maintain a contracts database, track key dates, and assist with contract lifecycle management.
• Legal Research and Analysis:
  1. Conduct legal research on various issues, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property matters, and industry-specific regulations.
  2. Summarize and analyze legal documents and provide recommendations to the legal team.
• Intellectual Property Support:
  1. Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  2. Monitor and enforce intellectual property rights, including sending cease and desist letters when necessary.
• Compliance and Regulatory Matters:
  1. Stay current with industry-specific regulations and assist in ensuring the company's compliance.
  2. Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits as needed.
• Corporate Governance:
  1. Maintain corporate records, including board minutes and resolutions.
  2. Assist with the preparation of corporate filings and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
• 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a technology company or law firm.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and contract law.
• Familiarity with intellectual property concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of SaaS and technology industry regulations is a plus.
